Main Street Warkworth

Main Street is abuzz with activity during our opening festivities May 26 and 27. From garden vendors to gallery hoping, music, food and kids events, there is something for everyone.

You’ll find live music at the Main Street Mews in mid-block (click here for more information!), and along the Street the unique shops and cafes that give Warkworth Main Street its fascinating character.  If you need a rest, Horse and Wagon rides will be available!

And if you’re inclined, we invite you to have a seat at the Purple Piano yourself, and add to the scene!

If you’re interested in the visual arts, be sure to tour the Photo Show of Finalists from the Festival Photo Show.

Children can decorate cupcakes, get their faces painted participate in the “Jungle Cat World” and much else. Take a look at the Kids On Main page for all the great Kids Events.

0152Need a nibble?  Visit Centre and MaIn Chocolate Co.  Centre and Main Chocolate Co is a small chocolate company based in Warkworth! Creations are hand crafted in small batches, blending the finest couverture chocolate with delicious natural foods and flavours. They incorporate ingredients from across the globe, and unlike most bars in which the flavour comes from the elements surrounded by or on the surface of plain chocolate, the chocolate, fruit, flowers and spices become one. The chocolates are as pleasing to the eye as to your taste buds.

And be sure to explore the great cafes and restaurants on and off Main Street, including Our Lucky Stars and Jeannine’s Backtalk Cafe!

You can view the latest in beautiful Lilac Arrangements, and then vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Award.  If you’d like to enter your own Lilac Arrangement, call  705 924 2737 for details.  The Festival will also be offering a wide range of beautiful Lilac varietals for sale.  Be sure to check them out!

A number of gardening specialty Societies will have booths on Main Street.  The Campbellford Horticultural Society will be offering Pumpkin and sunflower seedlings again, and the Brighton Horticultural Society will have experts on hand to answer your questions.  In addition the Ontario Delphinium Society, True North Daylilies  and the Canadian Peony Society will be there ‘in full bloom’ to help you make your garden special!

There are a variety of other vendors you’ll enjoy too!
