Main Street is abuzz with activity during our opening festivities May 30 and 31. From garden vendors to gallery hoping, music, food and kids events, there is something for everyone.
MAIN STREET
You’ll find live music at the Main Street Mews in mid-block with the Main Street Rhythm Band and other artists.
Along the Street are the unique shops and cafes that give Warkworth Main Street its fascinating character along with Cindy’s Crafts and the Fifth Avenue Collection.
If you need a rest, Horse and Wagon rides will be available!
And if you’re inclined, we invite you to have a seat at the Purple Piano yourself, and add to the scene!
If you’re interested in the visual arts, be sure to tour the Photo Show of Finalists from the Festival Photo Show, with Prizes announced at 11AM Saturday.
Children can decorate cupcakes, and much else. Take a look at the Event Calendar for all the great Kids on Main Events.
Need a nibble? Be sure to explore the great cafes and restaurants on and off Main Street, including Our Lucky Stars and Jeannine’s Backtalk Cafe, and the amazing Bakery on Mill Street. A bit further afield you’ll find the SOS Lounge on Old Hastings Rd, Glover’s Market and Cafe, and the Warkworth Golf Course Clubhouse on County Rd. 29, and the Pine Ridge Golf Course on Highway 30.
You can view the latest in beautiful Lilac Arrangements at the Touch of Lilac, and then vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Award. If you’d like to enter your own Lilac Arrangement, call 705 924 2737 for details. The Festival will also be offering a wide range of beautiful Lilac varietals for Sale at 45 Main Street. Be sure to check them out!
A number of gardening and specialty groups will have booths on Main Street.
